    Description

    The Cévennes, mainly known for the war between Protestants and Catholics known as the Camisards war in the 17th century.     The 13th-century castle

    This medieval quadrilateral castle with its outbuildings and 43-hectare plot of land are in a protected agricultural zone. Built at the end of the 13th century and beginning of the 14th century, the castle's four rendered stone towers are reminiscent of fortified castles. Six sheepfolds, 2 of which are in need of renovation. Major restoration works are planned, including electrical and heating works.

    Ground floor

    The main entrance to this fortified house is via the south-facing façade. This small medieval castle welcomes you through a massive door opening on to an inner courtyard. The reception hall, with its French-style ceiling and bar stone floor, leads to the utility rooms. On the left, a gallery, the kitchen with its fireplace and vaulted ceilings. The scullery opens on to a small courtyard with a well. On the right, a small lounge. A dining room with vaulted ceiling and cloister arch leading to a lounge.
